Intermediate layer provides stiffness, crush and kink resistance. Can be polypropylene or nylon, depending on chemical / temperature environment ( bonded to inner liner)

Inner liner is barrier layer ( Nylon for gas, oil, condensate, CO2) ; ( Fortron for H2S and high temperature)
