This is a great fish. Does interact with other inhabitants. From my observations appears to swim with similar coloured fish, like Pearl Gourami' s ( Because of the black stripe on the Pearls) . Do constantly nibble for algae, and also can be fed with flake. I have individuals in my aquarium, and don' t seem stressed about the lack of friends. I would, however, prefer them to have friends but their size does limit how many you can get. Apparently are known to be peaceful to other individuals of the same species, however I haven' t put two in the same aquarium yet so can' t really comment on that. I would recommend this fish only if the aquarium is over 30 gallons, and is planted ( as the fish likes to rest on large leaves) . | | |
