Another famous game fish among anglers is Sebarau or the scientific name Hampala macrolepidota. Their live time is short and easily to turn rotten. By using fishing rods and live insects as bait they can easily caught by casting, ranching or rock fishing. Normally monofilament gill nets mesh size between 3-5 inches being used. To avoid being predated by Toman, the nets that set at dawn should be check frequently.

Size
Black diamond shaped band running vertically from the dorsal fin downwards to the belly. This colour will disappears when the fish is more than 1 kg. The dorsal fin and the caudal fin lobes have black stripes too and remain until adult. The body is silverish gray in colour.
The average size is between 10-20 cm and can grow to more than 40 cm and weighs about 5 kg.
Biology
Their diet consists of fish, shrimps and insects.
The spawners swim upstream of the rivers. The younger either remain at the rivers or move into the lake. it is known that tourists are able to catch snapshots of the fish climbing the rapids to go to their spawning ground.
