Acoustic Performance : Hilon Felt Insulation will perform as an acoustic and thermal material in a construction system, by providing a sound absorbing factor in the construction cavity. Typical improvement in sound transmision ( STC) through a wall is 6-8 points on STC of the construction system without insulation eg. STC 35 + 6 = 41 STC
Corrosiveness : When tested in accourdance with NZ S4222, Hilon Felt Insulation is classified as non-corrosive. The pH of Hilon Felt Insulation is 7.8 ( pH of 7 is neutral)
Durability : Hilon Felt INsulation will not sag or lose its loft or bulk over time. This design charateristic ensure full performance is maintained ( 50+ years durability) .
Maximum Service Temperature : 130 C
Maximum Melting point : 235 C
